Questions organizers ask
Can guests pay for a retreat in installments?
Yes. Guests pay a deposit at booking and the balance is split into monthly installments that finish before your final-payment cutoff. Each installment is charged to their saved card automatically, with a reminder beforehand. Guests can also pay in full or pay early.
What happens if a guest's payment fails?
MyRetreatDesk retries the card on the days you choose and emails the guest a link to pay. If the balance is still unpaid after your grace period, the bed is released and offered to your waitlist.
How do I get paid?
Guests pay straight into your own Stripe or PayPal account. MyRetreatDesk takes only its platform fee (1.5% on Starter and Venue, 0% on Pro). We never hold your money.
Is there a commission on bookings?
No marketplace commission. Starter is free with a 1.5% platform fee, and Pro has no platform fee at all. Card processing from Stripe or PayPal applies, and you can pass the processing fee and the platform fee to travelers separately.
Can a group split the cost of a retreat?
Yes. Create a group quote for the rooms, share one link, and each attendee claims their own bed, signs the waiver and pays their own deposit. Roommates can also split a double room at checkout.
Can I use it on my own website?
Yes. Every retreat gets its own booking page, and on Pro you can embed the booking widget on Wix, WordPress, Squarespace or Webflow with two lines of code.
Does it work for workshops, courses and teacher trainings?
Yes. Anything with dates, places and a price works: multi-week teacher trainings, weekend workshops and day events. Pro adds a cohort calendar for programs that run several times a year.
Which currencies can guests see?
Guests can view prices in USD, INR, EUR or GBP. Charges settle in US dollars.
